Rings
A ring-shaped start tests strong same-family attraction as the band holds or dissolves.
How to compare
Load a preset, watch its initial layout settle, and adjust one setting at a time. Maze is an alternating attraction and repulsion experiment, Bridge starts with two groups, and Void leaves a repulsive centre. None promises a fixed final shape.
Eight starting conditions
Each row gives the starting layout, rule personality, and a direct Load link.
A ring-shaped start tests strong same-family attraction as the band holds or dissolves.
Alternating positive and negative relationships create a changing corridor experiment.
Two groups start apart so cross-field attraction and separation are easy to compare.
A ring-shaped start with central repulsion leaves an open middle.
Restless families scatter and regroup with damping 0.10 and radius 92.
Core defaults mix attraction and repulsion for soft clusters that form and split.
Core defaults use asymmetric relationships for pursuit and rotating motion.
Core defaults pair short reach with family boundaries for pockets and membranes.
FAQ
Bloom is a useful first comparison because its mixed attraction and repulsion rules make motion easy to read. Every preset can evolve differently from run to run. Start in the simulator.
Maze is an alternating attraction and repulsion pattern experiment. It is not a promise of permanent maze walls or a fixed level. Open the sandbox to tune it.
Loading a preset updates the running world and the eight controls. You can then adjust settings or use Reset to rebuild the current preset. Tune the result in the sandbox.
Share configuration copies the selected preset, settings, and seed into a URL. It does not create an account or save a live snapshot. Read the parameter guide.
